DMC Lean consultants designed and implemented a visual management system for a multi-national organisation in the medical device sector. Existing paper-based system that were time consuming and didn’t engage with stakeholders were replaced with an intuitive system that gave real time data in terms of volume, scrap, and quality on the process. Managers and supervisors can now make decisions based on live data to maximise return from the value chain. Data from interactive screens are now the focus for teams at daily Kaizen/Gemba meetings. Bringing visibility to the process makes it easier for teams within the value chain to identify opportunities for process improvement.
